HearFlorida, South Florida’s premier hearing care provider with locations throughout Broward, Palm Beach and Dade County, is giving four deserving hearing impaired individuals the opportunity to win a free pair of digital hearing aid devices, valued at $6,990 a pair.

For over 75 years, May has been the month dedicated to awareness surrounding different forms of communication impairments from hearing, speech, and language difficulties. It is estimated that around 36 million American citizens suffer with a hearing impairment, yet only 20 percent seek medical attention to help dramatically improve their hearing, leaving millions of people struggling. To help raise awareness of the importance of proper hearing care, HearFlorida is hoping this hearing aid contest will allow more people who are suffer with hearing loss to receive quality hearing care to help improve their quality of life.

“I wanted to give South Florida residents an opportunity to get a pair of premium hearing aid devices and change their lives,” explains Dr. Adam Locker, Au.D, President of HearFlorida Audiology Group. “It can be a life changing experience and it is our way of giving back to our community, and raising hearing loss awareness.”

Between May 11th and May 25th, HearFlorida will be accepting online submissions for its Hearing Aid Community Give Back contest that will award FOUR pairs of premium digital hearing aid devices, including hearing care consultation and follow-up care. The HearFlorida Hearing Aid Community Give Back contest is open to all hearing impaired residents of Broward, Dade and Palm Beach County, 18 years and older. The FOUR (4) winners will be announced on and showcased on the HearFlorida website and on HearFlorida’s Facebook page.

Three winners will be selected by submission of “How hearing aids will enhance my (or loved one’s) life” and one person at random from our Facebook fan page. Nominations can be submitted in the form of an essay or a video through May 25, 2011, either by email or on the HearFlorida website. The winner will be announced on May 26, 2011 and showcased on the HearFlorida website and on the HearFlorida Facebook page.
