Benefits

The mind™440 hearing aid series includes innovative benefits that aim to give the hearing aid user a better listening experience. These benefits include an upgrade of the sound technology, a relaxation program and a verbal messaging system.

Sound technology

With the mind440 series we have upgraded our famous sound technology (ISP) to create Dual ISP. mind440 is also the first Widex hearing aid to feature the TruSound compression system. The TruSound compression system helps to ensure that changing between sound environments is made as smooth and fast as possible.

Relaxation program

mind440 is the first hearing aid ever to feature a relaxation and tone program. We call it the Zen program. The Zen program plays random, harmonic tones you can listen to at your leisure, for example if you want to relax. With the Zen program:

• You have five different choices of Zen styles music programs
• You can tailor Zen styles music programs with your hearing care professional to suit your individual needs
• Tempo, volume and pitch can be adjusted by your hearing care professional, giving you total control over the way you listen

Verbal messaging system

To help you take the guesswork out of controlling hearing functions, Widex has created an innovative verbal messaging system, SmartSpeak. The system talks you through such functions as low battery power and program mode. SmartSpeak uses actual recorded speech to tell you of mind440 functions such as Zen and battery power. These clear, verbal messages come in a wide variety of languages, making it much easier for you to adjust programs and settings.

WIDEX Passion

With the Passion™ series, Widex introduces the smallest Receiver-In-Canal (RIC) hearing instruments. The housings are incredibly small and discreet, as well as comfortable to wear. Passion is suitable for mild, moderate and severe hearing losses. Passion can also be tailored to most hearing loss configurations. The Passion™ hearing instrument series delivers sophisticated performance down to the finest details. The ISP platform

Passion utilises Integrated Signal Processing™ (ISP) technology, exclusive to Widex. ISP integrates your needs and preferences while dramatically increasing sound quality. Central to the ISP platform are:

• Speech Enhancer: separates speech from noise in your listening environment. (Only available with PA-115)
• Multi-directional Active Feedback Canceller: minimises feedback and feedback whistling. (Available with PA-115 and PA-110)
• Multi-channel Locator: a dual microphone system that helps to optimise sound, making speech more intelligible by reducing background noise. (Available with PA-115 and PA-110)

Superior sound quality

Stable Sound Delivery™: emphasises natural sound by minimising feedback.
• Sound Harmony™: optimises hearing instrument performance, letting you experience a clear and balanced sound.
• Audibility Extender: detects otherwise inaudible high pitched sounds and transposes them into lower, audible frequencies. This means you can hear things you couldn’t hear before. (Only available with PA-115)

Other features

• Flexible venting options: Passion gives you the possibility of larger venting, meaning reduced blockage of the ear canal (occlusion) and less risk of feedback.
• EcoTech II: this technology provides extremely long battery life, making it highly efficient and cost-effective.
• NanoCare™: a nano-coated wax protection system that protects the hearing instrument’s receiver as well as safeguarding the sound path.
